What We're About
Gender
We cover ALL aspects of gender, including Transgenderism, Transsexualism, Transvestism, Crossdressing, as well as gender blending, bending, or otherwise transcending. We cover all forms of gender norm transgression, as well as (and including) Gay, Lesbian, and Bisexualism, Feminism, Women and Men's issues, and how all of this relates to gender in society at large. Hosted and run by a team of trans and non-trans folk, we seek out diverse new voices, prominent or unknown, that challenge traditional and/or prevalent views.
Collaboration
We also discuss topics that may not be directly related to gender, but that we find particularly interesting or informative. We especially like to present discussion of areas like race, ethnicity and class, where people are suffering for lack of a social climate more welcoming of the true diversity of life. We also like to challenge the politics of the day, because it's our duty, in alternate media, to provide an alternative to the propaganda that passes as "news" from corporate-controlled mainstream outlets.
But most of all, we try to have fun. We figure that's the best way to keep it interesting, both for our audience and ourselves.
GenderTalk is a forum for healthy discussion of, and information about, all gender issues, especially as they affect gender expression and identity. We welcome friendly requests for specific types of programming, and invite information that may be of interest to our listeners. [contact]

"Follow the day to day ups and downs of a Dutch transsexual woman in her struggle with the world as it is. Transition is the main issue in this diary, but this girl does have a life! Science, theatre, poetry and music will pop up now and then. Shit happens, mainly at work and in politics. So naturally it is in the diary as well..."
"Evelien Snel works as a full time software engineer and a free-lance author/translator. She has transitioned to living full time as a woman two years ago. She is now in her 'Real Life Test' period and has started hormone therapy." She has a website: www.eveliensnel.com
