May 2010: Boston Spirit Magazine's People You Need to Know

Nancy and Gordene were together profiled by Boston Spirit magazine as "People You Need to Know" in the local LGBT community.

June 2009: Stonewall Transgender Hero

Nancy was among 40 transgender activists recognized as "Heroes" by the International Imperial Court System and the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force at a special ceremony honoring the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Bar in New York City.

June 2009: Pride Interfaith Award

Presented to the all-volunteer Boston Transgender Day of Remembrance Organizing Committee, which Nancy has led for many years.

October 2005: Pioneer Award

Given to "devoted members of the T community" by the Fantasia Fair, the oldest and longest-running gathering of transgender persons for mutual education, support, collaboration and socializing.

April 2005: Virginia Prince Lifetime Service Award

Presented by the International Foundation for Gender Education. Named after the founder of the first-ever support group for crossdressers and transsexuals.

May 2000: "Outstanding LGBT Radio"

GenderTalk Radio receives an award from the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). Also nominated in 1998.
