41:28 Tonye Barreto-Neto(TBHawk@mindspring.com) on incarcerated TS Dee Farmer, who is being discriminated against on the basis of her gender, & likely also race. Tonye is organizing a demonstration on Dee's behalf. Dee Farmer has served 13 years in prison for credit card fraud. Despite good behavior, a Judge in Baltimore is threatening to order her to serve another 20 to 30 years in jail. She has already served more time than many - if not most - murderers. Compare her jail time to that of William Palmer, the man who murdered TS Chanelle Pickett, and was out of jail after a mere two years. Tonye issues a strong call for action which we at GenderTalk fully support.
Please get involved or help any way you can. For more information, email Tonye at TBHawk@mindspring.com or call him at 813-752-9226 or 813-334-7147.

68:59 Our final guest is Judith/Jack Halberstam, Professor of Literature at the University of California in San Diego, co-author of "The Drag King Book", and author of the newly-released "Female Masculinity." Judith talks about how female masculinity allows a glimpse of how masculinity is constructed as inseparable from maleness, and how by considering female masculinity, we can loosen some of the restrictions imposed by presumptive masculinity.
