Question of the Week:
I am a 49 y.o. CD/TV. I am married with two kids at home ages 16, a son and 12, a daughter. I have told my wife of 28 years that I enjoy dressing in women's clothes and belong to a transgender support group. She wasn't thrilled with all of this because now she's afraid that I am having sex with men now and I might come home with something like HIV. How can I ease her mind that I am doing this a recreational and not to hurt anyone.

Sherry & Paul Lipscomb tell the story of how their 6-year-old trans daughter (born apparently male) came to be taken from them, against their and her will, by Franklin County Children's Services. Loving parents, they respected their daughters gender identity, but the agency which took her from them has consistently tried to change her behavior through cruel behavior modification techniques. They make an appeal for help in regaining custody of their daughter.
Their transwoman attorney Randi Barnabee (smithbarnabeelaw@aol.com) gives her account of the legal situation.
