18:36 Question of the week
Question: "I live in a remote town of 14,000 on an island in Alaska, and I am wondering about the effectiveness of having a therapist over the phone, due to the lack of resources here. I am already on self-administered HRT (hormone replacement therapy), but I want to go the "right/safe" route as soon as possible. "
(from Sheryl, Kodiak, AK)
Question: "I want to talk directly/personally to you and your crew on the radio. What telephone number and time and date do I use to contact you directly in person?"
(from JoAnn Zaba, Golden Colorado)
24:34 Hal Fuller's Twisted Nasty News
36:05 Julie Wyman, an award-winning filmmaker, talks about her first full length film, the documentary "A Boy Named Sue", which follows six years in the lives of female-to-male transexual Theo and his lesbian partner Lisi. Her previous works, "I Shot my W.O.D.", "Enjoy", and "Stunt Double" have screened internationally at festivals, galleries, and on national cable television, including many screenings at Gay/Lesbian film festivals. Wyman is currently working on a documentary about a troupe of fat sychronized swimmers, a film that shares in her larger goal of projecting onto the screen images of bodies that are usually not seen.
