Question of the Week
"For those of us living two lives: one reluctantly as a man; the other, as a woman, it would be very helpful to hear of those actions and experiences which can make that stolen time so worthwhile and precious. What things would you suggest we do, see, hear, touch, experience that will enhance those stolen hours (...and on occasion days) and lead us to a heightened sense of euphoria. I believe that for those living the opposite dream (F-M), the same question would apply as well. I will assume that many of your listeners have not taken that great leap of faith and courage, and continuously dream of those too few times they can step into that other world. "

If, when you think of "female impersonators", you think only of "straight" men performing as women, think again. Our guest this week is a biological woman who performs in drag as a female impersonator. Debra Kate, who calls herself a "gender performer in the drag scene", takes us on a delightful tour of her gender performance and where it came from, displaying some well-developed politics and a strong sense of play.
