Leonard Peltier Defense Committee As has been extensively documented, Leonard Peltier was framed by the FBI for the murder of two FBI agents. His case has become the focal point for the national effort to finally end US government repression of Native Americans and theft of their lands which continues to this day.
Mumia 2000 Mumia Abu Jamal, as a journalist, exposed Philadelphia police corruption and racism. In retaliation, he was framed by Philly police for the murder of an officer. "Witnesses" who testified against him have since recanted, attributing their implicating testimony tp police threats and intimidation.
