Alliance for Community Media National organization (since 1976) representing over 3,000 Public, Educational and Governmental (PEG) access org's and community media centers, as well as the interests of millions of people who, through their local religious, community and charitable groups, use PEG access to communicate with their memberships and the community as a whole. Committed to assuring everyoneÕs access to electronic media through public education, a progressive legislative and regulatory agenda, coalition building and grassroots organizing.

Center for Media and Democracy "The nonprofit Center for Media and Democracy strengthens participatory democracy by investigating and exposing public relations spin and propaganda, and by promoting media literacy and citizen journalism, media "of, by and for the people." Our programs include PR Watch, a quarterly investigative journal; six books by CMD staff; Spin of the Day; the Weekly Spin listserv; and, Congresspedia and SourceWatch, part of our wiki-based investigative journalism collaborative to which anyone, including you, can contribute."
Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting FAIR has been offering well-documented criticism of media bias and censorship since 1986, working with both activists and journalists.
Media Watch Challenges abusive stereotypes and other biased images commonly found in the media. Since 1984, distributes educational videos, media literacy information and newsletters to help create more informed consumers of the mass media.
PR Watch "PR Watch offers investigative reporting on the public relations industry. We help the public recognize manipulative and misleading PR practices by exposing the activities of secretive, little-known propaganda-for-hire firms that work to control political debates and public opinion."
About-Face A media literacy organization focused on the impact mass media has on the physical, mental and emotional well being of women and girls. Challenges cultural overemphasis on physical appearance through practical and activist methods.
Free Press "Free Press is a national organization working to increase informed public participation in crucial media policy debates. The ultimate aim of Free Press is to generate a range of policies that will produce a more competitive and public interest-oriented media system with a strong nonprofit and noncommercial sector. "
Media Tank "Media Tank is an innovative non-profit organization working to bring together media arts, education and activism to build broader awareness and support for media as a vital civic, cultural and communications resource. "
