Karen Mass, the intrepid activist who recently captured national attention for a brief moment as the transsexual who asked presidential candidate Al Gore what he would do about the exclusion of transgender people from the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act. Karen is secretary of the Iowa Coalition Human Rights, and steering committee member for the Iowa Stonewall Democrats. She designs cockpit displays for a living.
Karen tells us about her activism and beliefs, and about her own problems with SRS (sex reassignment surgery).
