Bill Lippert, Vermont state representative, and vice chair of the house judiciary committee. Bill is the only openly gay member of the state house of representatives, and has been in the lead in responding to the state supreme court ruling requiring Vermont to accord same-sex partnerships the same legal rights and benefits as heterosexual unions. Bill updates us on the Vermont "civil union" bill, which passed the House and is now in the senate.

Catherine Manegold, author of "In Glory's Shadow : Shannon Faulkner, the Citadel, and a Changing America". Catherine is a former foreign correspondent, journalist of 17 years, formerly with the New York Times, who covered the Faulkner story for the NY Times. Catherine talks about how the Citadel got its start as a training ground for African-American troops used to control the African-American civilian population, and later became a racist and sexist institution for whites.
