Jennifer Levi, attorney for GLAAD (Gay and Lesbian Advocates and Defenders) tells us about 2 cases involving transpersons. In one case, GLAD helped a transwoman win medicaid funds for removal and reconstruction of her breasts following the failure of her implants (see press release). The other case concerns a transperson who was denied a loan in western Massachusetts after being told to go home and come back in "proper attire". She also provides an update on the recent controversy regarding GLSEN sex educators that resulted in the firing of two educators and resignation of another.
