Shawn Hayward is an award winning poet, recepient of the Lina Todd poetry award. Hir poems have been published in "Conceptions Southwest", "Gender Threads," "Catbird Seat" and "Harwood Review." S/he is currently at work on a collection called "Intertidal Sexes", from which s/he shares several poems. Shawn is the founder of of the transgender community group in Albuquerque and editor of the TG NewMexico newsletter. S/he lectures on gender issues, and is a grad student in History of Consciousness program at UC Santa Cruz. We talked with Shawn about hir work in the areas of TG representation in horror films, gender fluidity, and about hir own experience of being a transgender person.

Bonnie Morris is the author of "Girl Reel: A Lesbian Remembers Growing Up at the Movies." A professor of Women's Studies at George Washington University and Georgetown University, Bonnie was born to Hollywood parents. Her father was an extra in the film "The Day the Earth Stood Still," and her mom was an assistant to actress Greer Garson. Bonnie is also the author of "Eden built by Eves" (Alyson 1999) and 2 books on Jewish women's history. In this program she speaks with us about her new book "Girl Reel."
