00:00 Introduction
13:37 Question of the week:
Question: " Could you please describe what a day is like for you with societal pressures and stereotypes and anything else you would like to add. I am doing an oral presentation on gender identity and would love some personal input. Thank you so much. Peace! " (from: Melanie, Jefferson)
Question: " How do I know if I'm a CD or a TS? " (from: Stephanie Anne, Brooklyn, NY)
25:17 Hal Fuller's Twisted Nasty News
36:24 Esther Morris, activist and writer, joins us to talk about, a resource she founded for women with Mayer Rokitansky Kuster Hauser Syndrome (also known as Mullerian Agenesis, Vaginal Agenesis, Congenital Absence of Vagina).
Esther tells us about the pain and embarassment that she suffered in her teens when she was mis-diagnosed repeatedly and suffered repeated surgeries to "correct" her "problem." Sadly, the doctors never included consultation with her as to their intended treatment, and so never discovered the truth Esther shares with us, that rendered their treatment unnecessary.
Esther also tells us about how the award-winning play "The Vagina Monologues," while breaking new ground for all women, makes a terrible mistake in mis-representing the concerns of those born with MRKH Syndrome.
