A largely unknown champion in the early struggle for lesbian rights in the US, performance artist Mercedes de Acosta conducted daringly public romances with such celebrities as Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, and Isadora Duncan. Bob Schanke, author of the first book length biography of Mercedes de Acosta "That Furious Lesbian: The Story of Mercedes de Acosta", talks about his book and her exploits.
