17:04 Question of the Week

"Hello, my name is Kathryn. I am a transsexual. I am writing for a friend who does not have a computer or web access. My friend Susan (also a transsexual) is on medicade here in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has been on HRT for over four years. All this time, Medicade has paid for her hormones. Now, Medicade wants to stop the payments for HRT therapy for transsexuals. This is a note to you for your consideration and a request for help if you are able. "

40:45 Is the Human Rights Campaign complicit in excluding transgender persons from inclusion in federal anti-discrimination and hate crimes legislation? Despite persistent lobbying efforts by transgender activists, we have yet to see the federal level enactment of any acknowledgement of the victimization of trans persons. Ethan St. Pierre & Karen Martin share their perspectives on recent lobbying activity, and a Transexual Menace demonstration against HRC.
