35:05 Question of the Week

"Somewhat amazingly, for a show like GenderTalk, you seem to almost never use gender-neutral pronouns to refer to people. I know that many trans people, especially transsexual people, want to be referred to by gendered pronouns, but each time gendered pronouns are used, it reinforces the gender binary. I'd love it if you could get your listeners used to hearing gender-neutral pronouns. If it doesn't start on your show, where can it start? Cheers (and keep up the good work!), Alley (who isn't male or female, and likes the pronouns listed below):
Challenge the gender binary: use sie (pronounced 'see') instead of he/she, hir (pronounced 'hear') instead of him/her, person instead of man/woman, M. instead of Mr./Ms., and dear instead of sir/ma'am."
