 Two students from Harvard University, Barusch & Anna Johnson-Betty, tell us about a takeover staged there by transgender, genderqueer and questioning students. Possibly the first of its kind, students staged a late-night spree that left behind signs, decorations, and food for the BGLTSA members. According to those reporting on the event, one of the best parts was the positive reactions from the leadership of the BGLTSA.

Question of the Week
"I just purchased some hormonal cremes and Fem Drops from [an online source]. I applied some creme on my hips and behind and took half of one drop. The dosage is 4 drops morning and nite on the tongue but with a warning for heart patients. I take Lipitor and have borderline normal blood pressure. I had one of the scariest experiences of my life! Almost immediately (within fifteen minutes or so) I think what I was experiencing was my blood pressure going thru the roof. I got dressed and was about to go to the hospital. It eventually started to subside about 2 hours later. I'm at a crossroads in my life to begin with. Of course I need to know where I stand and what my next moves should be. This happened last week. I'm 50, look 40, can and expect to lose some weight shortly. I do not plan on being on any meds the rest of my life. What happened and what do you suggest?"

Elena Ortiz-Junes, Native American activist, writer, and vice chair of the Ortiz Center, talks about the onslaught of european culture and native efforts to defend against loss of indigenous traditions. She tells the story of Po'Pay and the Pueblo Revolt, an attempt by the southwestern Pueblo people to retain autonomy in the face of Spanish colonization.
