There have been many autobiographies written by transsexuals, but few convey insight into the gritty urban experience that too commonly befalls those who lose the support of their family at an early age. With 'no holds barred', Rosalyne Blumenstein, transsexual activist and therapist, shares some of her experiences and perspective as detailed in her new and revealing autobiography, "Branded T".
As a transsexual social worker, consultant and trainer, Rosalyne takes pride in her addiction and prevention education work. In her 'tell it like it is' book, she shares how she has juggled her history of sex work, mental health concerns, addiction, gender identity issues, and academic success. Hers is the true story about a teenage runaway, her contact with suicide, gender identity issues, drug addiction, and the sex industry. It is also a story of recovery opening the door to a healing process.
