Karen Kerin is the first openly post-op transsexual to run for national office (Congress). She is running as a republican for Vermont's sole seat in the House of Representatives. Karen is a former engineer who developed a second profession by earning a master'ss and doctorate in law. She has done post doctoral work at Pepperdine and the University of Nottingham in England.
